Ian Porter, currently Commercial Manager at LINPAC Recycling is appointed to the position of General Manager and will lead the team through its ambitious plans over the coming years. Ian will assume his new duties as from the 1st of June 2007.

Alan Davey, currently General Manager of LINPAC Recycling, has been appointed Director of Innovation for the Plastics Division. Alan's new role will cover all products, processes and materials currently in use and others that will fit the future plans of the business. Alan has managed LINPC Recycling since its creation and has an extensive understanding of materials and their uses

Updates to the website are underway with the launch of the "Plastic Wanted" system, future updates will include "Plastic Available" among others. Hopefully this series of updates will bring a new depth to the service that LINPAC Plastics Recycling offers to both customers and suppliers.

In collaboration with their project partners LINPAC has today published the final edition of the LIFE model for Plastic Bottle Recycling in the UK. This report represents the culmination of over 4 year's practical work and experience gained by the acknowledged leaders in the field of plastic bottle recycling in the UK. Not much of this work would have been possible however without the help and support of the European Commission, chanelled through the LIFE program.

Plastics Recycling For the Automotive Industry

LINPAC Plastics Recycling received official approval from General Motors to supply their A65T20 grade of 20% talc filled Polypropylene compound from May 2000. This compound is used to fabricate the splashshield on the Vauxhall Astra in the UK. The project had to cross significant obstacles including the need to be UV stable and survive heat aging at 150°C for 168 hours, without embrittlement or discolouration.
