LINPAC Plastics Recycling Moves to New Site

Friday 24th March 2000 saw LINPAC Plastics Recycling take up residency of an 8 acre brown field site at Allerton Bywater, which was once the Yorkshire Area Mine Service Centre for British Coal. The new site is approximately double the area of the previous site, which has been in operation since early 1994. Along with a new 4000Te extrusion line, this relocation allows continued rapid growth of the business in order to maintain position as the market leader in the field of plastics recycling.

The fresh start linked with previous production experience has also allowed planned construction from the outset of modern fit-for-purpose offices and a plant layout which lends itself to maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and environmental practice.

Production levels have been increased by 4 000T p.a. due to the move to the new premises and this enables a target production level of 25 000T p.a. in the next four years to be set as an attainable goal.
